I originally started drawing my bag, but it just seemed so boring. So I decided to draw my Vera Bradley wallet instead. Mostly because I love the shape of keys, and I keep all five of my keys chained to it.
Erin, great adventurer of the sketchy seas, sets out on a whirlwind journey to produce at least one sketch every day for 1 YEAR! Each week will bring a new sketching theme and, hopefully, some improvement in my drawing capabilities.

EDM Challenge 2: Draw a desk lamp or other lamp
I can't say lamps are the most interesting thing in the world to draw. Although at least my own desk lamp is a lovely shade of green.
"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism, or in the darkness of destructive selfishness."

EDM Challenge 1: Draw a Shoe
I found something today called the Everyday Matters Challenges. There are over 300 of them, and today I'm going to start them from the beginning. Number one is draw a shoe. So, here is a drawing of my feet:

Days 283-285
Since I was away camping and without internet access this week, here are my sketched from Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday:
I've decided that I'm no longer going to do a drawing every day because drawing when I'm not in the mood or don't have enough time to do something that's not crap makes me not like drawing. Also, I'm taking 5 classes this upcoming semester and already know that there will be days where I simply won't have time for even a scribble. I'll still try to do something on most days, but not every day.

Day 276: Helena Bonham Carter
"I hate this image of me as a prim Edwardian. I want to shock everyone."
I just watched an episode of Cupcake Wars that revolved around the work of Tim Burton, which was the inspiration behind drawing Helena Bonham Carter.

Day 274
Today, I sketched something as fast as I possibly could (because I feel awful and just want to sleep). And this was the messy result.

Day 273: Classic Marilyn
"I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it."
-Marilyn Monroe
I got a Classic Marilyn poster today at Target, which inspired me to draw her in this classic Marilyn pose.
