Erin, great adventurer of the sketchy seas, sets out on a whirlwind journey to produce at least one sketch every day for 1 YEAR! Each week will bring a new sketching theme and, hopefully, some improvement in my drawing capabilities.

Day 249: Another Tree
"I frequently tramped eight or ten miles through the deepest snow to keep an appointment with a beech tree or a yellow birch, or an old acquaintance among the pines."
-Henry David Thoreau
Trees are one of my favorite things/symbols, which is why I drew another tree. Trees can symbolize a lot of things. They symbolize life (the tree of life) and renewal every year, as well as symbolizing one's ancestry. And they're green (my favorite color).

Day 248: Giving Tree
"'Come, Boy, sit down. Sit down and rest.'
And the boy did.
And the tree was happy."
-Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree
