Day 197: Ballerina

"In life, as in dance, grace glides on blistered feet."

Ballerinas fascinate me. They're artists and athletes at the same time, and probably one of the most disciplines groups of people in the world. The amount of time and physical discomfort that ballerinas must put into what they do is quite amazing.

During my three hour long calculus class today, I had a little bit of time to do some doodling. I ended up sketching a couple outfits that I wish I owned/ could pull off (and added color when I got home).

Day 194: Green Dress

"Age becomes reality when you hear someone refer to that attractive young woman standing next to the woman in the green dress, and you find that you're the one in the green dress."

"I guess Surrealism has a draw for me because it's an unknown world. It's a world of subconscious. Some things you can't really get your hands on very easily. Things that are kind of nebulous and they feel like they're not completely formed. You have to feel your way through that."
