Day 239

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."
-Unknown

I enjoyed sketching in the style that I did yesterday, so I decided to stick to the same portrait style today.  And once again, I really enjoyed it!

Day 236: 4th of July

I completely forgot to pack any paper or writing utensils while packing for the Cape, so today I just doodled in or on the pad of paper in our room. I also don't have my scanner or computer, but thankfully I can just use my phone's camera and the blogspot app on my phone. Yay for iPhones! Happy 4th of July!

Day 235: Chic

"I had two sisters, and we would love to get dressed up and pretend that we were chic, sophisticated ladies. And I think that was a great sort of preparation, in a way."
-Suzanne Farrell

Today I drew a couple of fashion-design-inspired sketches. Not because I'm into fashion designing or anything, simply because I like the way designers sketch. I think it's very chic. The first drawing I did was just an imitation of a poster I saw in Target and loved. To practice with the style, I drew this sketch in the exact same pose and clothing as the original poster:

And then I drew my own sketch in the same style, inspired by 1920's flappers:

So much fun!

Day 234: Kissy Face

"We live in a kissy society."
-Michael Bergin

I know I've drawn this facial expression before, but it's just a fun expression to draw!
